TV Series

Over the few months, I have been watching quite a bit of TV series (US). Here are a few to share, Lie To Me...great show about a group of deception specialist (lie expert), then Trauma...about paramedics, followed by Flash Forward...whereby the whole world stopped for about 2 minutes, then chaos followed, and another Fringe (Season 2)...X-Files meets CSI meets Warehouse and lastly Harper's Island...13 weeks, 25 suspects, 1 killer.

CNY Blockbuster 2010

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Let's hope the year of the tiger brings all goodness and peace to mankind. What a great time to catch up with the HK films, since they don't really have many great films throughout.

Nevertheless, I managed to catch 3 films all though CNY...14 Blades, Little Big Soldier and True Legend.

2010

Time flies, we're in 2010 now and lots of great TV and Movies awaits us. As for TV, lets see if there will be any new wave format - as we're all quite tire of reality series. After "Fringe" season 1, I have been patiently waiting for season 2, and while waiting, I stumbled across "Warehouse 13". It's not too bad, but not as complex as "Fringe", but however does provide some interesting plots...secret agents retrieving ancient artifacts with powers.

Also there is another similar genre titled "Flash Forward" which I am itching to see as the plot sounds really interesting. While waiting for those titles, I turned to "Lie To Me", a series about detecting lying. A very human story, with amazing storytelling and detecting lying techniques.

As for the movies, "2012" seems a not-to-miss blockbuster, but I missed it, but planning on getting the Blu-ray. Ending 2009 on a high-note was not missing "Avatar", an amazing movie, get visuals and simple story. The 3D was truly amazing and best experience so far.

As for the Asian cinema, "Bodyguards & Assassins" wasn't a bad flick, as compared to the highly anticipating sequel "The Storm Warriors". There will be a few surprises coming soon in 2010, do watch for it.

Fringe

I was introduced to Fringe TV Series late last year, and the story was quite intriguing, as my dear friend was trying to explain the complexity of the storyline. He did his best, caught me but also lost me - however I didn't forget that TV series.

Then finally I got my hands of the 1st season - it was nowhere how my friend described it. In fact, it was much more complicated but very engaging. It's sought of an extension of The X-Files, but much larger topics and more scientific.

Great plot, can't wait for season 2. If you haven't seen it! Don't miss it!

Blu-Ray

Seems like yesterday when the days of VHS, VCD, DVD, HD DVD - but it's all history now and here comes the new generation of audio-visual presentation. After witnessing the clarity, sharpness and color on Blu-Ray...awesome!

Still contemplating on whether to upgrade to Blu-Ray? But then would also need to upgrade my LCD as well, as it's needs to be on a full HD capability to enjoy the stunning Blu-Ray. Time to save up!!!

Last 2 months...

Exactly, it's been almost 2 months since I last flog anything. Alright, straight to business...it's not a movie but a mini-series, titled "The Lost Room", very common title, sounds cheesy, and uninteresting.

My reaction was about the same as described, when my friend told me about it a year ago. He then expand the storyline, and...geez, this is pretty exciting! I then totally forgot about it until I saw it for sale last month!

My memory quickly flashed me back on my reaction towards this mini-series, and without a second to lose, I bought it. I am not sure I should explain the plot for you all, I think I won't. You all can google it anyway. I will just give a hint...the poster. Watch it!!!

World Breaking News!!! Michael Jackson is DEAD!!! What a pity, still have so much talent to share with the world and gone at 50. I was right smack in Times Square, New York, when heard this news, everyone on the street was talking about it.

Well, I guess it's all fated, anyways...Thanks Michael for the great entertainment all these years!!! God Bless.
